Copper enameling is the ancient technique of meenakari,  (Persian: میناکاری). This is the process of painting and colouring the surfaces of metals and ceramic tiles through enameling, originating in Safavid Iran. 

The EkiBeki team encourages the Meenakari artisans we work with, upskills them to use their traditional processes to create designs that are relevant and suitable to our modern lifestyles.

EkiBeki also features Truna, our Golden Grass handwoven jewelry. Created by our women artisans across 35 villages on Kendrapara District, Odisha India, they were trained under the Skill and Entrepreneurship Development of Women in the Golden Grass Project. All handmade with love!
